Maxine Reed was born on August 22, 1945 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was
the youngest of nine children born to Rosie Lee 'Pick' Reed and Richard Reed.
Maxine lived with her mother until Pick became ill. Maxine loved her mother
with all her heart!
Maxine, also known as ‘Max the Cat’ was loving, dedicated, and courageous.
She would definitely put a smile on your face whenever she entered the room.
She met Joseph Waters, the love of her life, and with that relationship she
became a mother.
Without any doubt, Maxine had unconditional love for her family and
especially for her only daughter, August 'Crissy'. Maxine’s relationship with
Crissy was filled with love, laughter, and most importantly a beautiful
friendship.
Maxine loved children in which all held a special place in her heart. She was
blessed with a total of six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. With
each and every one of them, she shared a unique and unbreakable bond.

Maxine was courageous and demonstrated that within the last year of her life.
Although she fought a hard battle, Maxine was a believer in God and prayed
as she spent her last days with her family. She made sure to let her family
know that she loved them. Maxine transitioned from her Earthly life on
Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home in Saint Louis, Missouri.
