Mrs. Carlotta Varner was born December 16, 1943 in Saint Louis, Missouri to William Harvey Stokes and Catherine Hennretta Harral; both having preceded her in their own Heavenly transitions.
Carlotta attended Columbia Grade School and Sumner High School in Saint Louis, Missouri. During her younger years, she worked for Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, providing concierge services to the entire family. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois in the early 80’s and worked for T & T Bar-b-que and for a while. Carlotta even worked as a caregiver. Of her many achievements, Carlotta became a world-renown wedding coordinator. Her refined skills gave her the unique ability to weave her passion for design and deĢcor together with the visions of many a bride. Her imaginings always exceeded her clients’ expectations and she eventually earned the title of “Master Event Stylist”. The enjoyment Carlotta exuded in her craft and her ability to consistently wow and exceed the expectations of her clientele, she would eventually earn the title of “Master Event Stylist.”
Carlotta attended North Galilee Baptist Church early her life. She would later join New Bethlehem Church under the leadership Pastor Paul C Robinson. She was the President of the Ways & Means Committee, through which she hosted many fashion shows to help support church benevolent fund.
On July 9, 1966, Carlotta married her heart-song, Mr. Thomas Varner and for forty-three years, they shared of life of joy and love. Thomas gained his wings on March 14, 2009. Over the years, Carlotta nurtured and maintain many relationships with those who were not of blood relations, including her stepfather, Amos Harral, who preceded her death.
Our dear Carlotta departed this life to take her seat at the side of our Lord and Savior on March 24, 2021.
